Do "you" want change or do you love Excuses

Do "YOU" want to CHANGE!!!!

Most People want change....but unfortunately they set themselves up with so many Excuses you Carnt change!

Eg Too busy,  (so is everyone)

Too tired (so is everyone) no time, (everyone is busy) carnt afford it, (others can that have less income maybe buy or eat less takeaway) carnt give up takeaway or lollies (you can many have) these are excuses and every one of them can be removed you just have to want to CHANGE!

This is why people don't change

Because they get something positive out of Staying the same and you get comfort from the same routine and you get immediate good feelings from the foods you eat...but short or long term there is no payoff and no reward or benefit.

The pain of feeling bad or unhealthy or looking overweight should  outweigh the reason to want to change!

Changing Brings much gratification and many many benefits πŸ˜ƒ

Like Feeling Good, In control, looking good, being Proud....Do "you" want change....then you need to stop setting yourself up with Excuses "self imposed" barriers because these are what are holding you back πŸ˜‰

Do an exercise for you and me if you want to.....

Write down all your Excuses you use and what's holding you back....think about what the reasons are and it's probably only your Mindset you will need to change! Control your mind and everything else will take care of itself!

I always Remember My Grandmother telling me and now my mum tells me the same thing " you give a busy person something to do and they will always get the job done"

So now you never have to say I am to busy because if you are you will get it Done!

This is one Excuse you can get Rid off!!!!

See how many more Barriers you can change!

Find your local restaurants that will cater to you Dietry requirements.....Normally alcohol is served everywhere so there's no need to worry about that!
It's the food we consume  while dining out is what will help us keep our weight under control and our Health in a good place......So my Hubby and I are taking a few days off and YOU know I "LOVE" food and know most of the great eating places on the GC (which I will start to blog more about)
Our first port of call for lunch today is our local (Fishermans Wharf.....Fishos) on the GC.
"On the quiet" to the locals they sell a $12 porterhouse 200 gram steak served with salad and chips!!!!!
Great little waitress.....I smiled and kindly asked her for dressing on the side which was a balsamic then I asked for my steak to be cooked in the most minimal oil (could she let the chief know) and if I could pay the difference and have veggies with no butter instead of the chips.......She accommodated me with every requirement at no extra charge....Great place to eat spectacular views and affordable dining. Lovely place to have a glass of Sav and a cold Corona! Great value great food We will be back!

Goal Verses Payoff

Good Saturday morning and Happy Marathon times to the Runners on the GC! πŸ˜ƒ....Mmmm bit of rain and Cloud ⛅️ ....Sun was rising at 6.38am but it's peaking closer to 7am!
Great Morning for us....I will tell you why.....
We all had a little sleep 😴in until we could here our little foster boys yelling out "Jason I've done a poo and a Wee"
Very exciting morning πŸ˜ƒfor all of us as they took themselves to the toilet.....The Goal we set out to achieve was toilet training and it is finally "paying off".......You see in life with every little goal you set or say you should never GIVE-UP......The payoff today is....Dry Nappies and Very Proud Happy little boys.....and for you and I our goals we achieve the payoff for us means we will be Happy, Healthy which Equals =
SUCCESS πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ˜‰❤️πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’›
Do you have Goals do you know what your Payoff is?" this is what will keep you Motivated!
Sometimes working out what your "payoff" is can take some time, thought and Effort!
Remember all Goals need to be achievable and attainable otherwise it's not at Goal and there will be No payoff!

Eg Our Goal was always to help toilet train these boys it's been a long consistent and not always easy and convenient process.....but we "never gave up" even though we thought it was impossible at some stages....."the payoff" we knew would be they could take themselves to the toilet,no nappies and they would live in society better and they could start to build as little humans! This Goal has taken months and months and months but it was reachable attainable and it has finally had payoff! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

So tell me What one of Your Goals is and what your Payoff will be?

How Do You Stay On Track?

Ok you have told yourself that you need to lose weight for Summer or it maybe a special occasion like a school reunion.
So you plan your weight loss goals and join a GYM. Monday morning comes around and your off to a great start. You are at the GYM bright and early, eating all the right foods. Two weeks go by and you are still going strong and than BAM! you miss a day of exercising. Your out with the girls having a coffee and cause your feeling down, You indulge in a chocolate cake. Than you tell yourself "This is to Hard" you want to give up. Now What?

Don't Panic

Setbacks have no power, it's your attitude or Mind that makes the difference. When embarking on a lifestyle change, you will feel inspired one day and down the next. Don't Panic this is normal. You have a choice though, do you give up? Or do you make changes to stay on track?
Here's How to manage different kinds of challenges.

How to manage different kinds of challenges

When embarking on a life changing course we will make mistakes and when it comes to eating healthier its no different. The key to staying on track is how you mange those choices. Make sure you talk to yourself with positive comments not negative ones. You will get back on Track.
For example:

Situation:
You eat extra servings of your favourite meal that your mum's made for you- 700 calories! You feel so guilty and you beat yourself up mentally. You say " Thats it, this is not working. It's just to hard, I can't do it." You also say:" Whats the use" cause you believe that things won't change.

Solution:
Say this to yourself, "Well, I wish I didn't eat that much, but I did. That's ok". Than you decide that in the future you will  rethink your calorie level when eating your Mum's cooking. You will plan to budget extra calories when you go there next time.  Than you say, "I will make a point to eat more carefully today and I can enjoy my favourites and keep my weight in check too".

Play it Over in Your Mind:

Once you have gone through a setback, its time to envision the solutions. What I mean is, mentally rehears or imagine yourself  managing stressful events successfully.

Situation:
You have a up and coming family reunion and you feel anxious because of the great food that is always served at these events.

Solution:
For several days prior to the event, take ten minutes and sit in a quiet spot. Close your eyes and see yourself at the family reunion. See yourself confidently entering the room, easily interacting with friends and family. You’re looking over the buffet, seeing the foods you really love. Seeing yourself making wise choices, choosing small portions and eating mindfully. Imagine leaving the event feeling great with how well you handled yourself.

Don't worry if you don't know the specific details of the event, that's fine. Your mind will not know the difference between what's real and what's not. If you repeat this exercise, you will build confidence in yourself  to make the right choices in reality.

Final Thought and Tip:

My final thoughts on all this is that make sure that you are true to yourself . Face your setbacks early on, because you are only letting yourself down if you say you are going to do or commit to something. When you well know deep down that you will not fellow through with it.
e.g Every morning you say that you will go to gym after work but you know you won't.

Take responsibility for your choices. Stop setting yourself up for failure. Either find a better time that suits you to go to gym or do something that you like. e.g take up dancing lessons or walking. By finding something that you really like will help you keep motivated and moving your body.

Tell me your Thoughts.....

What helps you keep on Track? What do you need to stay honest about?

Why is Gluten making people sick....Is it making you sick???

The facts on why Gluten is making some people very sick put into very basic terminology for you.
Do you ever have any of these Symptoms: (I did) Bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, musculalar disturbances, headaches, migraines, acne, fatigue, depression, bone and joint pain, Coeliac Disease (no absorption of nutrients B12, zinc, iron) all gluten needs to be avoided!
Wheat is government subsidised which means it's "cheap" to make and is Mass produced.
Soy and Corn are subsidised as well which is why they are used for cheap fillers in our Foods and Mass produced!
Wheat produced today is bred with higher Gluten levels to "Mass" produce flour for our breads and pasta.
Before wheat is harvested in the spring and winter it is sprayed with chemicals and pesticides.
Wheat is stored up to 12 months or longer, during this time the vitamin B deteriorates.
While it's stored in grain silos it is susceptible to insects, mould, and rats so it is sprayed regularly with lots of chemicals to keep the pests away.
Once it finally reaches the mill the wheat grain is ground the husk is blown off and what is left is white flour, they then add Vitamens back in to replace what was lost.
Then the flour is stored and kept in gases like nitrogen to keep more pests away! The flour can last years in this state!
Then when it finally becomes bread more preservatives and chemicals are added to stop it from going Mouldy on the shop shelves.....Then we buy it and eat it.
So why could you be Gluten intolerant because today's wheat is so genetically modified many of us could be sick from it and not even realise.....it's the little slice of bread for lunch or the serve of pasta we had for last nights dinner or the cereal we just had for breakfast that could be making you and I sick.
So what could you do to find out?
You could have tests or you could simply
Listen to your body and take notice of how you are feeling after you eat certain foods, do a food Journel.
You may be surprised as to how you feel and will lead you to make changes to your food....Imagine how wonderful if some of the symptoms you feel could be removed and your life changes for the better.....all because you took a few minutes out to read this.

Avoid all the artificial sweeteners like the "Diet" Queens Maple syrup Splenda, equal, any thing that has numbers as your body and mind does not need chemicals to process first thing in the morning.....There is nothing wrong with Beautiful πŸ˜‹Raw honey or good old fashioned Canadian maple syrup as long as you portion control...BIG deal that a 1 tsp of the real deal with only cost you 1pp or for those portion controlling a drizzle or 10grams...interesting isn't it that those eating artificial diet products eat more because they think they can as it cost them nothing and they are not learning portion control!!!!!
